Removable Braces

We provide the following types of removable braces:

  • Functional Appliances: Also known as orthopedic appliances, are braces used to stimulate jaw growth. The are worn full-time to ensure treatment success and timing of treatment of is highly important.
  • Removable Plates: These appliances are used for minor tooth movement or arch expansion. It uses wires and springs to push the teeth into position. The wires or springs are not fixed to the teeth, so the plate can be removed, unlike traditional braces.

Clear Braces

These are a series of clear trays that move into place. Also removable braces. No wires and no brackets are used. Worn 24 hours a day.

Comfortable, clear and removable, invisible braces transform your smile without disrupting your life. The treatment is designed to treat a wide range of straightening issues including crowding, overbites, underbites and gaps.

Since invisible braces are removable, they make brushing and flossing your teeth much easier than with other orthodontic options.

Fixed Braces

Fixed braces are braces that cannot be removed for eating or cleaning purposes, as they are attached to the teeth. The following options are available:

  • Metal Braces: Metal braces, otherwise known as traditional braces, are made of stainless steel brackets and wires. Modern metal braces are much more compact and less obvious than traditional metal braces made in the past, making them a suitable option for most people.
  • Ceramic Braces: Ceramic braces work similarly to metal braces, but they are more discreet since they are made from a transparent and clear ceramic material. These braces also blend in better with your teeth- making it an ideal choice for teenagers that are self-conscious about wearing braces.

Oral Hygiene

Practice good oral hygiene. Brush teeth thoroughly twice a day and floss daily between the teeth to remove dental plaque. Visit your dentist at least once a year, even if you have no natural teeth or have dentures.

Good oral hygiene results in a mouth that looks and smells healthy. This means: Your teeth are clean and free of debris. Gums are pink and do not hurt or bleed when you brush or floss.

The goal of proper oral hygiene is to remove or prevent formation and buildup of plaque and tartar, to prevent dental caries and periodontal disease, and to decrease the incidence of halitosis.
